Movie one - filter placed in front of a projector and the projected image was manipulated by changing the focus on the projector. Pretty old school, but it was an interesting effect. The second clip the filter again was placed in front of the project as a mock GOBO filter and the image was manipulated in After Effects to fade the image in and out.
